Frequenlty Asked Questions
A Covid-19 Recovery Certificate, also known as Proof of Covid Recovery, a Covid Recovery Letter or Proof of Natural Immunity, confirms that you have recently had Covid-19 and have recovered. In this instance you are likely to be protected against Coronavirus by your antibodies. It is commonly used for entry to destinations that accept Covid-19 Recovery Certificates as an alternative to Fit to Fly Certificates, which show that you were unlikely to have Covid-19 on the date of your test.
Covid-19 Recovery Certificates can permit travel for passengers who have recovered from Covid-19 but may continue to test positive for Coronavirus despite displaying no symptoms.
You'll need to upload a positive Covid-19 test result and be able to demonstrate that you've recovered from Covid-19 during the application process to be eligible for a Recovery Certificate. If your application is approved, you'll need to show your positive Covid-19 test result alongside your Covid-19 Recovery Certificate when you travel for entry to your destination.
You can apply a minimum of 11 days from your positive Covid-19 test, provided you have been free of symptoms for 48 hours. If you are still unwell after 11 days then it's unlikely you have recovered yet. Your symptoms will be assessed during your application.
To validate your application we require a copy of the ID page in your passport, and your positive Covid-19 test report. We accept both a PCR test and a lateral flow test report. Your test report need to have the following information clearly visible:
Passenger full name
Passenger date of birth
Type of test (PCR or lateral flow)
Date the sample was taken
Positive result Certificate
Most countries now accept both a PCR test or a Rapid Antigen test as evidence of your recent Covid-19 infection, including the USA and Australia.
Our Clinic happy to issue a Covid recovery certificate, with either type of test, so long as you have an official test report or NHS email containing your name, date of birth and type of test. Please note that we do not accept a photograph of a positive lateral flow testing device as evidence of infection.
Before booking, please review the latest regulations of your destination country prior to booking, to see which type of Covid test is accepted.
Yes – we can issue a Covid Recovery Certificate with a positive Lateral Flow Antigen Test result that is supplied from either the NHS (via an email, SMS or NHS App notification), a private, or international testing provider.
We are unable to accept just the image of a positive lateral flow cassette.
If you're assessed as ineligible for a Covid-19 Recovery Certificate by our team, a partial refund will be issued as per our policey.
If your application was submitted incorrectly, we will endeavour to work with you to rectify the issue and resubmit your application correctly.
If there's any doubt over the validity of the evidence you provide, your application will be rejected. If there are signs of tampering with your positive Covid-19 test result, you will be banned from our service, and a refund will not be issued.
Photos of antigen lateral flow tests cannot be accepted because the test results cannot be verified. Antigen lateral flow test results can be accepted from an approved provider or laboratory that has verified them, for example, antigen tests offered and validated by Corona Test Centre are accepted.
Verifly only recognises QR codes from NHS and EU Digital Covid passes as they are especially encrypted, and currently cannot read a QR code from ANY private provider.
However our certificate is still fully accepted by all airlines.
VeriFLY have confirmed with us that travellers’ certificates will be validated at the check-in desk or boarding gate, in hard copies format.
Please be assured that we have not had any issues with our certificates being accepted for travel purposes.

Your Covid Recovery Certificate is in fact usable for travel to any country which has the same or similar regulations to the Australia. Before using your certificate to travel to another country, then we recommend you first check the following regulations of your destination country:
- What type of test does your destination country accept (i.e. PCR or lateral flow or other).
Within which timeframe are you required to have had a positive Covid-19 test.
Yes. The certificate is valid for as long as the rule of your destination country. For instance, currently the USA stipulates that your positive Covid-19 test must be more than 5 days but no longer than 90 days ago. If the dates of your test, as written on your certificate, fit this requirement then you’re good to go.
Yes – the Covid Recovery Certificate can be issued to anyone over the age of 5.
